On the day of his disappearance, George and a friend left in a boat to go from Fox Island to a marina located at Island Grove on Lake Simcoe.

The boat capsized due to poor weather conditions.  While his friend was able to swim back to Fox Island, George was not.

On November 20th, George’s boat was found on a sandbank near Joyland Beach in Orillia.  George has not been seen since and his body has yet to be recovered.
