| Additional Information : | On the morning August 2nd, 1970, Robert left Beckwith Island on Georgian Bay with a friend named Mary Anne Loranger. The pair set off by canoe with the intention of traveling to Cedar Point in Tiny Township. A storm broke out later in the day and did not pass until August 4th, 1970. Neither Robert nor Mary Anne have been since setting out in the canoe. It is believed that the canoe capsized in the storm, resulting in the death of both passengers. |
