Heather, and her father, Jeffrey, moved from Burlington to live off-grid due to their religious obligations. As part of living off-grid, they stopped using social media and all other known technologies. Additionally, both cancelled their bank accounts.

Heather’s mother reported her as missing because of her concerns that Heather may not be able to leave her living arrangements if she had a change of heart.

Police have been unable to determine Heather’s whereabouts or the ability to be reached. They may have located to the Sudbury area but this has not been confirmed.
