At the time of his disappearance, Luke had recently moved to Sault Ste. Marie from his hometown of Sudbury. He had legally changed his name to Luke at the start of the year.

Stacy spoke with his father on the day before his disappearance.  On November 28, 2005 Luke left work at the Ontario Forest Research Centre. At 1:12 p.m., he stopped at Sewell’s Gas Bar on Frontenac Street, Ranklin Reserve and purchased Player’s Light cigarettes.

Luke was driving his car at the time of his disappearance. The car was located on a bush road 15 km behind Garden River First Nations Reserve on November 30, 2005. Despite several searches of the area, no additional items were located.

Both police and the Dilenardi family are concerned about Luke’s well-being.
