The last time members of the Antic family saw John was at the Burlington Mall on November 5, 2012. His wife and son saw John in the mall and invited him to have coffee. John declined, saying that he had already had coffee. Instead he gave his wife a lottery ticket and said that he would see her later.

Later that evening, John’s wife received a phone call from someone in Niagara Falls, Ontario. While John did not speak with his wife, the person relayed a message from him saying that he was eating and was fine. His wife could hear her husband in the background stating that he was having dinner. Halton Regional Police confirmed that the call was placed by an employee of the restaurant where John was having a meal.

John is an avid cyclist. His silver-coloured mountain bike is missing. However, it is unlikely John would have ridden his bike to Niagara Falls. There is no clear evidence to indicate whether John hitchhiked, took a train, rode a bus or found some other transportation to Niagara Falls. He may have been on foot or taken public transportation.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have knowledge about John’s whereabouts as they would like to verify his well-being. His lack of contact since November 5th, 2012 is very much out of character. John had no pre-existing medical, domestic or mental health issues. There has also been no bank account activity since his disappearance.
