Teeth – most of front upper and lower back teeth were missing
Dental health – evidence of tartar, abscessing and a condition that attacked the gums and bones around his teeth
Upper jaw – amalgam fillings in teeth

Spine – severe degenerative disease
Arm and leg joints – degenerative disease of many of his arm and leg joints

Face – lesion under the right eye, possibly a tumor
Left hand – end of the fifth finger amputated
Facial hair – beard

Jacket – dark green or black, winter jacket, “Mark’s Work Warehouse” label
Vest – blue, zippered
Sweater – blue or black, knit with zipper
Shirt – long sleeved, white
Shirt – long sleeved, black

Pants – track pants, blue in colour

Shoes – black

Headwear – black cap with ‘On Trac’ on it

Wallet – described as a ladies wallet
Currency – $4.85 in Canadian Tire money

Sleeping bag – worn
Shopping bags – plastic
Boxes – cardboard
Umbrellas – broken
Pails
Hockey bag – blue, black in colour

The remains of the unidentified male were located on the bank of a reservoir in the Pine Valley Open Space which is located at 7211 Pine Valley Road.

A number of items were located in the general area suggesting that this unidentified man may have been homeless and living by the reservoir.  These items included bed linens, clothing, personal belongings and food.

The condition of the remains suggest that the man had been deceased for at least a year.  However, a newspaper dated January 9, 2005 was found in his belongings.  Therefore, the date of death has been estimated to be four months prior to discovery.
