On May 22, 2013, the partial skull of an adult male was found on the shoreline of Georgian Bay, French River Provincial Park.  The skull may have belonged to an older adult.

Radiocarbon dating indicates that the person lived at least part of his life between 1950 and 1963.  The skull had been at the location for a period of a couple of years to possibly 60 years.
